It is with great honour and peace-filled hearts, that we announce the passing of a beautiful soul, mother, Nonna, Bisnonna, Gina Mio. Gina passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the glorious age of 100 years.
Gina was surrounded with much love from her late husband, Silvio (2000), her devoted children, Sergio Mio (Janice) and Nellie Mio (Hans Hinding), her adoring grandchildren Nathan Mio (Kiersten) and Vanessa Quiring (Peter) and the joys of her heart, her great grandchildren Sante, Harrison and Evangeline Mio. Gina was greeted in Heaven by her brothers, John Durat (Enrica) and Marino Durat (Pina) and sister Pierina (Ermes Ferroli). She was a Zia to many nieces and nephews and a dear friend to all.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12:00 noon. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the SAH Foundation or St. Gregory’s Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
