Monette, Florence Marie

(March 27, 1924 - January 21, 2016) - Flo passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Blind River District Health Centre (Golden Birches) on Thursday, January 21, 2016.  Flo, in her 92nd year, was the beloved wife of the late Lucien (Lou) Monette.  The loving mother of Lorraine Smith (Blind River) and Raymond Monette (Barrie), and a supportive and caring mother in law.   Flo was known to many as Nana, but a very special Nana to seven grandchildren Erika MacMillan (Doug), Jim Smith (Jennifer), Kevin Smith (Natalie), Nicole Dzivy (Michael), Laryl Monette, Kris Monette (Jessica), and Nick Monette (Katie), and thirteen great grandchildren Amber (Lee), Ryan, Michaela, Carlie, Jessica, Jordan, Will, Matthew, Ethan, Thomas, Sydney, Sophie, and Audrée. Dear sister of Anne Veillette (late Paul), Isabelle Antonick (late Don), and Gerry Ross.  Flo is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  She was loved by all that knew her.  A special thanks to the outstanding care provided by the staff of the Blind River District Health Centre. Donations to Blind River District Health Centre Foundation for the Long Term Care would be gratefully accepted.  A memorial service will be held at Menard Funeral Home, Blind River on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 1pm followed by a reception at the Seniors Centre.  Spring interment in Hillside Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Menard Funeral Home, Blind River, Ontario.  www.menardfh.com
