It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Mattie at the age 36. He is son to Colleen Moore (late Larry Petingola) and the late Robert "Bob" McLeod. Step son to Kathy Burns. Loving husband to Danielle Moore. Proud father of Kahaila Barber and Elizabeth and Dawson Moore. He leaves behind his brother Brett Moore and his sisters Chelsea McLeod (J.P. Reid), Kim Mitchell (Dave Mitchell), Kristi Katch (Tim Katch) and Cara McLeod. Fun loving uncle to Dean Moore, Jerryd McLeod and Carma Castillo. He will be missed by his uncles and aunts Ian Moore, Darren Moore (Julie Moore), the late Tom Moore, Shari Sangestino (Randy Sangestino) and Roxanne Connell. Mattie's loss will also be felt by many other Cousins who held a special place in his heart.
Mattie will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor with his "Dad Jokes", and his ability to always bring a smile to our faces. He loved his family and friends fiercely. He was an avid music enthusiast, he loved big trucks and was always down to have a beer.
As per Mattie's request there will be no formal funeral services at this time. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque) to Elizabeth and/or Dawson Moore in support of their education fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
