Bob and his devoted late wife, Jerry Jollineau Morin, were the proud parents of Monique Egglesfield, Theresa Morin and Marty Micelli, of Toronto, ON, Matthew Morin, and Suzanne and John Paros. He was the treasured ‘Gramps’ of Michael and Petra, of Eys, The Netherlands, Christopher and Shannon, of Laird, ON and Gregory and Felix of Toronto, ON and the loving ‘Great Gramps’ of Ash and Oscar Egglesfield.
He was the much respected son-in-law of the late Louise (Beaupré) and the late Lawrence Jollineau. Loved brother-in-law of Nancy and the late Larry Jollineau of Bruce Mines, ON, late Arlene and late Bill Groh of Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, Wayne and Marilyn Jollineau of Saint John, NB, and Joel and Paulette Jollineau of Utopia, ON. Much loved ‘Uncle Bob’ to numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews across Canada and the United States.
Known as the ‘Road Runner’ over his 30 year maintenance career at Algoma Steel, he relished the many friendships he made at the plant and always had a great story to tell. To say he enjoyed his 35 years of retirement immensely is an understatement.
Bob possessed an ingenious mind and always had a project on the go. His youngest Grandson Greg sums it up best, “While Grampa is no longer here with all of us, all of his copious projects, completed or not, are still here as fond memories of him. I’m sure he is already busy at work building something. A new bridge to span across a larger pond? A new Ferris wheel that spins faster? Several homes or cabins? Whatever it may be, he’s hard at work.”
The family wishes to thank his dedicated care team: Nurse Practitioner Rhonda Angeconeb, Janice Doiron, Dr. David Walde, Dr. Anis Aziz and Dr. Mohammed Rassouli. To the numerous specialists, physicians, nurses, PSW’s, medical technicians, Cancer Clinic, Urology Department, volunteers, food service and housekeeping staff of Sault Area Hospital, we extend our gratitude, your expertise and care was truly appreciated. We would also like to extend sincere appreciation to Brandi and Shannon and all the staff of Van Daele Manor for the compassion and care shown to our beloved Bob. Lastly but not least, a special thank you to the family and friends from near and far who visited Bob while in the hospital. Your company meant so very much to him.
In memory of our treasured husband, father, brother and friend Bob, donations to ARCH, The Canadian Cancer Society, The Canadian Red Cross, The Kidney Foundation, The Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen Community Centre, or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
A private service for the immediate family will be held with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating.
Please contact O’Sullivan Funeral Home for the link to the service recording.
At a later and safer date, a celebration of Bob’s life will be held for family and friends to enjoy and share the memories of a magnificent life that was well-lived to the fullest. The family looks forward to reminiscing with you while enjoying Bob’s favourite past-time, sitting around the bonfire.
