Suddenly and unexpectedly in his favourite place, Mousseau Lake Camp, Shane passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. He was surrounded by his best friends and cousins. A big thank you to Jimmy Chartrand, Les Leclair, Dennis Michaud and Paul Mousseau for being there with him and Dan Mousseau for his support after.
Shane was born April 12, 1958 to the late Gerald Thomas Mousseau and the late Marie Rose Mousseau (nee Chartrand). He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Maureen and his chosen children who always knew how lucky they were to have him as their dad: Stacey Fuselli (Johnny), David Dellaire (Paul) and Chantal Moore (Bryan). He will be missed and remembered very fondly by his grandchildren Jonathon, Noah (Allie) Cambryan and Atticus.
Shane’s sister Cecile Trudeau (Richard) will be a bit lost without her banter with her baby brother. He will also be missed by his adored nieces Stacy Coulis (Jeremy), Wendy Anderson (Bryan), and Crystal Champagne (Patrick), along with his great nieces, Jenna, Amanda and Meghan and Great great niece April.
Shane has many cousins in the vast Mousseau family who were like brothers and sisters to him. His many friends will feel the void that Shane filled with his humour, loud opinions and boisterous laugh.
Shane was an outdoorsman and was most happy fishing, hunting or puttering outside. He also loved to golf. Shane was well known in the car sales industry throughout his career. He was a very talented carpenter and found in his retirement the joy that it gave him again. You could hear the AC/DC and Led Zeppelin blaring from the garage. Shane loved spending time with Maureen in the pool and hot tub in their backyard oasis.
Though his life was cut much too short, the life he lived was full and left an impact on so many people whose hearts he has touched forever.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations to a local charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.northwoodfuneral.com
