Passed away unexpectedly at Pathways Retirement Residence on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the age of 87. Marie was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Bert. She will be greatly missed by her loving daughters Wendy Kates (Paul) and Catherine Rosso (Jim). Cherished grandmother of Adam Kates (Amanda), Amy Reid (Terry), Amanda Rosso (Vik) and Sarah Rosso (Andrew). Great grandmother of Avery, Landon and Mia. Sister of the late Ruth Thomson, late Kenneth Yacoback, Gail Gall and Joanne Schug. Special friend of Ernesta Pighin. A private family service was held at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Saturday, October 14, 2017. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society or SAH Foundation. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pathways for their kindness and care of Marie, particularly Di-Anne and Melissa from the second floor.
