After a courageous battle with cancer, at the Sault Area Hospital, with her family by her side on Thursday January 3, 2019 at the age of 75, she was reunited with the love of her life, John R. Nelson.
Devoted mother of Kelly Nelson (Tim Hodgkinson), Shelly Nelson Bond (Clayton) and Tammy Crockford (Chris). Proud grandmother of Kyle (Ashley), Riley, Celeste, Nelson and the late Aaron. Big Nana of Kennedy, Presley and Damien. Predeceased by her parents Capt. Percy McMinn and Nancy McMinn (White). Sister of Lorraine Cright (Clayton), Allen McMinn, Alinda Swanson (late Bob and late Gerry) and predeceased by Wayne McMinn (Sally), Freddy McMinn and Cathy McMinn. Sister in law of Lois Thibodeau (late Art), predeceased by Emile Rains (late Orrell), George Nelson (late Pat McDonald), James Nelson (late Pat) and Grace Nelson. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews, dear friend to Joyce Brydges and Ma to many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 12, 2019 at the Moose Lodge (543 Trunk Rd., Sault Ste Marie) from 6-10pm. A special thank you to Dr. Tull, Dr. Booth, nurse Rochell and nurse Pat for the compassionate care they gave Mom, you are truly Earth’s Angels.
