March 9, 1944 – November 3, 2024

Harry passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Golden Birches Terrace, in Blind River. He was in his 81st year.

Son of the late Aili Nelson and Vic Nordlund. Devoted Father to Lisa Brock (Cliff). Loving PAPA to Ashley (Nathan) Keiara (Kody), CJ (Alexie), Katie (Lucas). Great PAPA to Kendall. Brother to Nancy Tremblay (late Gaby). He is predeceased by his siblings, Joyce, Henry and Helge (Liisa). Uncle to Christine (Joel), Dianne (Murray) and Paul. Great Uncle to Cassandra, Joel Jr., Danielle and Dylan. Dear friend of Andre (Krista), Bucksaw (Lyne), Elmer, the Iturregui family and many more throughout his working career and Riverside Tavern days.

Harry will be fondly remembered by his family for his quick wit and humour. He was a hardworking, dedicated employee of JI Enterprise for many years. When he wasn’t working for JI he worked for EI, unemployment! Harry loved the simple things in life, like driving around in his car, playing tv bingo and scratching his lottery tickets. He enjoyed cutting his grass and loved driving his lawn mower over to his daughter Lisa’s for a cold beer!

Harry will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, he is now peacefully reunited with his loved ones.

Our family would like to express a heartfelt appreciation to all staff at Golden Birches and NSHN for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Their guidance, empathy and support will leave a lasting impression - thank you.

As per Harry’s wishes, a cremation has taken place.

In honour of Harry, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Friday, November 8, 2024 downstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion from 11AM-2PM.

In lieu of flowers, a monetary donation to the Family Council NSHN Long-Term Care (Golden Birches Terrace), Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
