It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John, a beloved husband, father, grandpa, friend and teacher, who passed away peacefully after his journey with Parkinsons on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in his 81st year at Fox Hollow Retirement Home in London, Ontario.
John is now reunited with his beloved wife and best friend Brigitte Renate Noble. Loving Father and Grandpa of Michael Noble (Dana) of London, their children Evan and Aiden and Sonia Noble (Steve Brown) of St. Thomas, their daughter Karlie of Sault Ste. Marie, and her son Gabriel. Predeceased by his parents John and Marie. Lovingly remembered by his many cousins, nieces and nephews.
John’s love for the outdoors and Northern Ontario was woven into the fabric of his life. He found joy in canoeing, fishing, hunting, camping, and photography — especially when shared with family and friends. Time spent at Noble’s Nook, aka “camp,” brought countless memories: hot saunas, icy lake plunges, and laughter around the fire that will echo for years to come.
John also left a lasting legacy through his career with the Catholic School Board, where he served as a teacher, vice principal, and principal. His compassion and dedication touched the lives of many, both in the classroom and beyond.
Friends and family are invited to share their memories of John with his family at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Jerome’s Church (26 Carmel Road) on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing to donate in John's memory are asked to consider Parkinson Canada.
The family wishes to express their thanks for the amazing care and compassion from the PSW’s, Nurses and staff at Fox Hollow Memory Care, John’s home for the last 5 years since leaving the Soo. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.northwoodfuneral.com
