NORTH, Phyllis (Demchenko)

(October 7, 1925 - March 13, 2016) - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Phyllis North in her 91st year, loving wife, mother, grandmother and good friend to many. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 60 years, Doug North. Amazing mother and mother-in-law to Chris and Jane of Scarborough, Scott and Dawn of London, Rob and Marilyn of Sault Ste. Marie. Caring grandmother of Matthew, Nick, Stephen and Ryan. It was on her terms that she left us March 13th, 2016, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She will always be remembered for her generous and gentle spirit, the loving warmth she gave to all in her life; her infectious laughter and hugs; her passionate creativity as an artist, from writing, quilting or painting, she saw beauty everywhere. She so enjoyed her gardens and sitting outdoors with Doug in the back yard. Her strength and beautiful soul will forever be in our hearts and memory.
