John (Joe) O'Brien passed away at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at the age of 44 years. Loving son of Monica and Bob O'Brien. Grandson of Olive O'Brien of Nova Scotia. Dear brother of Gloria Dever (Bob) of B.C., Noreen Mason (Mike Morin), late Larry and the late Jimmy O'Brien. Father of Pat O'Brien of North Bay. Uncle of Joe, Robbie, and Bobby Lynn all of B.C. At John's request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Cancer Clinic or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to Dr. Walde, Dr. Spadafora, the local Cancer Clinic and Palliative care nursing staff and to the Comcare Health Services for their care and compassion shown to John and his family.
