Norman Arcadio, born October 22, 1923 - Just shy of his 93rd birthday, Norman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joan, children Randy (Dawn), Jude and Darcy (Fiona) and grandchildren Hilary and Liam. A WW II veteran, an accomplished painter and award-winning bird carver. In retirement he returned to his first love, the violin. Norman was a long-time distinguished member of the Masons. He and his family moved to Sault Ste. Marie where he became Korah’s first art teacher. His portraitures and student mosaics beautify the school and the Civic Centre. A celebration of life will be held at the Art Gallery of Algoma, on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 7 pm. Our thanks to the staff of Maple View for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Art Gallery of Algoma or the Algoma Conservatory of Music would be most welcomed. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (492 Wellington St. East, 705-759-2522). Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.arthurfuneralhome.com.
