OUELLETTE, Gerard ‘Gerry’

Peacefully at Sault Area Hospital, Gerry (Gerard), (Slim) passed away and joined his recently departed wife of 66 years, Betty (Elizabeth).  Gerry was the loving father of Dianne Cristello (Larry), Carolynn Ouellette (Ed Merritt), and Teresa (Terry) Walker.  Proud grandpa of Tanya Cristello-Storr (Ben Henderson), Rachelle Cristello (Tyler Panchuk), Margaret DeFazio, Chris DeFazio (Lindy), Danielle Pietarinen (Jamie) and Jeannette Orazietti (Anthony).  Great grandfather of 7.  Dear brother of Douglas Ouellette (Colleen), and predeceased by Blanche Dowdall (Lloyd Yazbeck, Daniel Dowdall), Jack Ouellette (Alice), Claire Minshall (Gordon), Bernadine Larsh (Rosaire).  Also dear brother-in-law of John Morton (Noreen), and predeceased by Edna (Merlyn Bennett) and Joan Bertolo (Gino). Throughout the years Dad received numerous awards for his volunteer work, but his dedication to and his love for Mary, the Mother of Jesus, was evident in his decades of caring for the roses at the Cross On The Hill. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre at 492 Wellington Street East on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. from Our Lady Of Good Counsel Church, Reverend Paul Conway officiating.  Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Light the Cross Fund would be appreciated.
