After a short illness in his 58th year with his family by his side. Family, friends and the community say goodbye to the lighthearted, kind and fun soul of Larry Parr. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Alexis. He was a devoted father to Scott (Jennifer), Cody (Cassandra), Travis (Lisa) and his two most precious Grandsons Ethan & Eli. Son of the late Jack and Margaret Parr, Brother to Cindy (Dale) Page, Davey (Kim) Parr, Lori (Gary) Vachon, Connie (Andre) Gravel. Most Loved son-in-law of Gerald and Eleanor Blais. Brother-in-law to Terry (J.J) Blais and Joni Lynn (Meuryn) Jeffreys aka “The Buffalo.” Larry will be remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces & nephews, and many very special friends including Doug and Dot Triplett who always had Sunday morning coffee. At Larry’s request, there will be no funeral service. It meant the world to Larry and his family that so many were able to say their goodbyes by his side on his recent birthday. Now is the time to celebrate the life and the person who was Larry, Husband, Dad, Papa Parr, Brother, and Son. “Do not mourn me for I am now free to laugh again.” Anyone wishing, may make memorial contributions to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice, who helped make Larry’s final days easier to bear for us all. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 705-759-2522. Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com.
