Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Arch Hospice, at the age of 76, following a sudden diagnosis of cancer.  

Beloved daughter of the late Katherine Margaret (nee Buchanen) Armstrong Lane and Alvin Emerson Armstrong of Manitoulin Island. Dear wife of Tom LaCasse, predeceased by her first husband, Clifford McKay, and her second husband, Anthony Pettalia. Loving mother of Katie (the late Ron) Nantais, the late Wendall (Janet), and Danny (Annette) McKay, and proud stepmother to Jenny (Jesse) and Brandy (Gord) Enns. Cherished sister of the late Scott (Barb) Armstrong, and sister-in-law of Louise (Kenny) Delvecchio and Brenda (Terry) Trudeau. Treasured aunt to Ginger Wood, Jodi Armstrong, Sherry and Glenn Macdonald, Lindsay Addison, Lori Mastellko, Eric and Molly Trudeau, and John and Jodi Delvecchio.  
Forever in the hearts of her grandchildren Colin Wallace, Sydney Nantais, Gracie, Julia and Mikayla McKay, Sophie McMillan, Ryan Littleton and River Daigle. Margaret Ann will be missed by many family and friends. 

She was a devoted volunteer with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #25 and a passionate professional in the field of social work. She is known for her canned goods, potato salad, and nuts and bolts, and shared with all those she loved and admired. 

At the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of Margaret Ann’s life will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 4:00 - 9:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #25 (Mary Field Room).
