Dorothy Pocock, 72, passed away peacefully in her San Antonio home on Sunday December 4, 2016 after succumbing to the burden of COPD. Beloved wife of the late Phillip H. Pocock, Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Irene and Rick Sullivan of Cobalt Ontario, and survived by her loving sons Shawn, Darcy, and Jason Tackaberry of Ontario Canada, and her stepdaughter, Dawn Pocock of San Antonio. Dorothy was the proud grandmother of Veronica Tackaberry, loving nana to Darsi and Jackson Rearick, and great-nana to Phillip Rearick.

Interment will be with her late husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. There will be a private family service at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.missionparks.com.

Dot, as she was affectionately known to her friends, enjoyed writing poetry and crocheting, and over the past decade assembled a comprehensive genealogy which she was excited to share with her family. Dot was a strong-willed eternal optimist, always bringing a great sense of humor and clever wit to her many relationships with family and friends.

We miss you, Mom. Safe travels on the little Smurf boat in the harbor.
