With great sadness we announce the passing of Raffaela ‘Lina’ Pucci (nee Bossio) on the morning of January 17th, 2025, at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 74.

Beloved wife of Luigi Pucci (predeceased 2002) and loving mother of Laura Arella (Danny), Sergio and Rob Pucci.

Daughter of the late Anna and late Bruno Bossio. She leaves behind her siblings Maria (late Benito), late Daniele (late Italia), late Lucia (late Francesco), Paolina (late Giuseppe), Paolo (Rosanna), and Silvana. Dear sister-in-law of the late Tony (Maria) Pucci, Oresto (Matilda), Rachela, and the late Costantino (Lina). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families in Canada, Italy, all of whom she loved dearly.

Special great aunt to Darion who brought so much joy to her life and who she loved more than words can say. Special close friend to the Pedatella family, who became very close to our family and Lina was always very connected with them.

Lina emigrated to Canada on April 1st, 1968. She then married the love of her life Luigi on December 20,1969. She worked at Uncle Gino's Cafe and for many years at Franzisi's Restaurant where she shared her amazing talent and skill of cooking. She made long time friends in both places that have stood the test of time.

Our mom Raffaela, known to everyone as Lina, lived her life with grace. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbours. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She demonstrated the light of Jesus in all her actions and words. The best mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend anyone could ask for.

Genuine. Strong. Independent. These are all words that can be used to describe her. She touched many people’s lives and made them better.

For the last 13 years, she battled with Parkinson's, arthritis, and Fibromyalgia with determination and strength, always remaining focused on the well-being of her family.
