Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, June 15, 2025 in his 80th year with family at his side.

Beloved husband of Dawna (nee Reid).  Caring father of Gordon Quinton, Lorie Rathbone (Danny), Gary Quinton Jr. and Dawn Griffith (Steven).  Proud grandfather of Jordan, Lynn, Mathew (Robin), Jill (Bryce), April, Kristyn (Tyler), Becky, Angie, Gordon Jr., Adam, Zackary (Makayla) and Megan.  Great grandfather of Dominick, Luka, Logan, Landon, Evan and Lauren.  Dear brother of Larry Quinton Sr. (late Almarie), Jane Sweet, Marlene Kletke (Ray), Sharon Webb (Joe), Doug Quinton (Gail), Susan Quinton, late Wayne and late Elgin.  Brother-in-law of Lily Hopp (late Elmer, Peter), late Susie Lafontaine,  Doreen Savard (late Norm), Tom Bradley (Cathie), late David Bradley, Raymond Bradley, Bonnie Wooley (late Joe, Dale), Betty Geroux (Jim), late Beverly Bradley, late Sharon Bradley, and James Bradley.  Gary will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  He will also be missed by his best friend Sandy.

Gary enjoyed curling, golfing and baseball in his free time.  He spent 40 years at Midway Lumber Mills as a sawyer.  Gary was a longtime member of the International Order of Oddfellows and volunteered at the Thessalon Curling Club.  He was known to many as Handyman because he was happy to help anyone who needed it.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Beggs Funeral Home on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 10 am until time of memorial service at 11 am.  Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society are greatly appreciated.
