(September 1, 1928 – December 19, 2016) – Margaret (Peggy) dearly loved wife of the late William (Bill) died on Monday, December 19, 2016 in her 89th year.  Mother of Cynthia Rattle of Ottawa, Kathryn Campbell (Glenn) of Toronto, Robert Rattle (Debbie) of Sault Ste. Marie and Elizabeth Clarke (Grenville) of Ottawa.  Proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren, Alexander and Emma Campbell, Benjamin and Christopher Rattle and Jenson and Nicholas Clarke.  Predeceased by her parents, Margaret Catherine McKay and Howard Wesley Black.  Sister of Robert Black (Ruth), the late Howard Black (late Edie) and sister-in-law of the late Lorna and Jack Hassell.  Margaret will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.  Born in Highland Park, Michigan and raised in Leeburn, Ontario, Peggy was educated as a teacher at Normal School in North Bay.  She fondly remembered her early teaching days at Leeburn Public School as well as in the Sault where she met her loving husband and fellow teacher Bill.  Peggy devoted much of her life to raising her family and cherished time spent with family and friends.  As an active member of the United Church she enjoyed sharing her talents through the Central Bell Ringers and contributing to the church community.  She gave selflessly through her charitable work with organizations including Meals on Wheels.  Friends may call at the Willowgrove United Church on Friday, December 23, 2016 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am.  Memorial service to follow at 11:30 am.  Rev. Dr. David Zub officiating.
