REEDY, William John

Unexpectedly at the Sault Area Hospital, with his family by his side on Sunday May 1, 2016, John Reedy at the age of 56. Survived by his wife Barbara Reedy (nee Hodgson). John will be remembered by his children John Hodgson (Shirley Stevens), Dave Hodgson (Cecilia Marshall), Shawn Reedy (Kristy Waboose), Jamie Hodgson (Bobbie Boyer), Kelly Hodgson (Randy Piazza), Kaylee Hodgison and Ethan Piazza. Predeceased by his children Sherry, Terry and Timothy. John was Papa to 24 grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents William and Levina (nee Cadran) Reedy. Grandson and Godson of the late Joe and Edna Cadran. Brother of Mike (Ruth), Matt (Colleen), Mark (Mary-Anne), Ron (Danielle), Karen (Ernie) and the late David. John will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Family and Friends may call at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (corner of Cathcart and St. James St) on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 11:00am until 12:30pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (114 MacDonald Ave.) Thursday May 5, 2016 at 1:00pm with Rev. Paul Conway officiating. Cremation to follow. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Sault Area Hospital ICU for their care, and a big thank you to John’s cousin Gene Agawa for the beautiful supper he made. Memorial donations in John’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
