Ann-Elies was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. She
attended Cody Public School and Technical & Commercial High
School. Ann-Elies and Ken moved to Kitchener in 2002 to be
closer to family.
Ann-Elies had a vibrant social life. She enjoyed hiking, aquafit
and golfing. She was an active member of the St. Mark’s
Lutheran Church, becoming a member of Stephen Ministry and
performing home communion, and then becoming a member of
Trillium Lutheran Church. She also volunteered in the day
surgery at the GRH for many years.
Her family and friends were always priority in her life. So many
circles of friends from her church, her apartment building, her
walking group and many others she met along the way. She
remembered birthdays, was always ready to listen and check in
on a friend. She had a very giving heart.
She had a wonderful sense of humour and a cheeky smile.
Always up for an adventure and never missed an opportunity to
socialize.
The last few years, her cat, Percy brought her a lot of joy and
companionship. She also loved her grand-dogs, a feeling greatly
reciprocated.
She will be missed by so many; she made a difference in
everyone’s life she touched.
Cremation has taken place. Plans regarding a Celebration of
Life will happen in the future.
To celebrate & honor her life, donations to the Trillium Lutheran
Church (Waterloo) or Save Me Dog Rescue are requested by the
family. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.westmountfuneralchapel.com
