Jamie passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the age of 66.
Son of Ron (Nancy) and the late Beverley Rodda. Brother of Ron, Brett (Kim), Lisa (Michael) Macocha and Leslie (George) Fabbri. Jamie was a beloved and "cool" uncle to David, Erin, Amanda, Jennifer and Chandler, Jordan, Sierrah, Chase and God-daughter Carly, and the youngest Alexandra.
Jamie and Denise shared memories of a unique lifestyle; working at several remote fly in fishing lodges, Wabatongushi Lake and Kagianagami Lakes were second homes for years of " seasons”.
Tourism with private cottage rentals in the area evolved and allowed a home-based life, north of Sault Ste. Marie. Hosting family and friends, being in the out of doors and on the water, winter or summer were treasured times. He loved and trained 2 exceptionally intelligent black labs, Sable and Kayla. He was an excellent professional fishing guide. Rarely is there a picture of him without a fish in it.
Denise cherishes those memories of people, nature and the northern lights.
As per Jamie’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
Thank you to the doctors, nursing and support staff at the Sault Area Hospital ICU and Emergency Departments, for the care given to Jamie.
