SCHMID, Idella (Thomas)

(October 8, 1930-September 7, 2017) - Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with family by her side. Loving wife of the late Karl Schmid and Elwood Thomas. She will be remembered by her children Paula (Morris) Pruce, Susan (Bob) Slator, Debbie Martin, Kathy Schular (Jim Pigeon), Clark Thomas-Gregario (Frangelico) and Vince (Sandra) Schmid. Idella was Nan and great Nan to many. Daughter of the late Cleve and Beulah Clark. Survived by her sister Evelyn and predeceased by her siblings Nelly, Edith, Norm, Moody, Kate, Lena, Lois and Elsie. A graveside interment will take place at New Greenwood Cemetery on Monday September 11, 2017 at 1:00pm. The family would like to thank Crystal and the staff at WeCare, the staff at the Sault Area Hospital 3C, Jennifer from Emergency and Dr. Hirvi for all their care and compassion given to Idella.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Sault Area Hospital.
