It is with great sadness and much love that we announce her passing on Monday, May 05, 2025, at the age of 98.
Elfriede is survived by her four grandchildren Sheri Levesque (David), Korrey Dale, and Kurt Schwinges (Sandra) and John Dale; her five great grandchildren Celiah, Taylor, Samantha, Michael and Natalia and her great-great grandchild Zara.
Elfriede is predeceased by her children Renate Schwinges, Karl Schwinges (wife Jean), her grandson Michael Schwinges, her parents Wilhelm and Anna Mager, her siblings Heinrich Mager and Manfred Mager.
Family and friends are invited to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East; 705-759-2522) on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Rev. Helen Smith officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations (payable by cheque or online) to the Alzheimer's Society Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
