It is with heavy hearts that Wayne's family announce his passing at the age of 83.

Beloved husband to Donna for 48 years. Cherished father to the late Dean Sherlock, Vicki (Gilles), Robbie (Denise) and Darryl (Jill). Beloved grandfather to Kyle, the late Dakota, Tristen, Noah (Grace) and Sophia. Cherished Old Papa to Kaylee Ann (the blonde bomber). Wayne is now reunited with his parents, James and Agnes Sherlock. Beloved brother to the late Jerry (Donna), Bud (Darlene), Merlin (Ronnie), Lornie (Jean), Sonny (Marveen), Sam (Margaret), Mary (Bill), Pat (Bucky) and Doreen (Gord). Wayne will be missed by his sisters-in-law Jean (Rene) Goulet and Marsha (Michael) Therrien. He is loved by the late Spencer and Martha Bagnell. He will be forever missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was known for being an extremely hard worker, an avid dog lover, a loyal Elk member as well being a volunteer driver for the Elks Oncology van, with an impressive 500+ trips. He was a dedicated employee for Ellwood Robinson for 47 years. He was very skilled in his craft. Wayne loved everybody and saw the very best in everyone. He loved to cut wood (known as Senior Woodchuck), especially in July (on the hottest days). Wayne cherished his home at Prince Lake as well as his neighbours and friends. The neighbourhood will miss their Honorary Mayor, and their recycling center.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Jay White for his wonderful help and support, the Sault Ste. Marie Paramedics, Prince Township First Response and the wonderful police officers that stayed with our family.
