After a life well lived, Doris passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the age of 91. Beloved wife and best friend of Dr. W. Lloyd Sippell for 67 years. Loving mother of David (Anne), Wendy (Payne) and Jane. Proud grandmother of Drew and Kenn Sippell and Jennifer and George Payne. Sadly missed by her son-in-law Nicholas Payne. Born in Mildmay, Ontario, the daughter of the late Henrietta and Garfield Eickmeier (late Rosetta).
Doris graduated in 1947, as a Registered Nurse from Kitchener Waterloo Hospital, and moved to the Sault in 1955. She was blessed to have many long standing and loyal friends at Central United Church, including the women of Unit #5, where she was recognized as a Life Member. She was a committed volunteer with the May Court Club of Canada and will be remembered by many, including her Bridge Club, and the folks at Sand Bay.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 6 – 8:30 pm. Funeral service to be held at Central United Church on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 1 pm.
