Of Sault Ste. Marie and Goulais River passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the age of 71.
Loving husband of 49 years to Sharon Souliere (nee Pond). Adored father of Emily, Kate (Mark), and Alex. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Margaret Souliere. Beloved brother of Max (Donna), Ken (Rhonda), Lisa, and the late Margo (Harry). Favourite Uncle of Janna (Logan), Travis, and the late Hailey who he is now reunited with.
He was also an amazing brother-in-law of Lynden Pond, the late John Pond, and John Goulay. Bill was an adored and beloved Papa of Nora and Giorgina who were the lights of his life.
Bill was a devoted family man who could always be relied upon to help, no matter the situation. He was eternally kind and went out of his way to teach and help anyone who needed it.
He was a lifelong member of the carpenters union, even after retirement, as a skilled carpenter and safety foreman. He was a master storyteller and loved a bad joke. He liked to bless everyone with his groaners (whether we wanted them or not)! He took to life in the country and everything it threw at him, including horses, chickens, sheep, goats. And the escapades they brought.
It was always a house full of love and light. He was the best husband, father, brother, son, friend, and Papa we could have ever asked for and he will be missed more than anyone can know.
Friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
