It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely death of Mark Benjamin Stortini.
Mark was the father of Eric Stortini. Beloved son of Ray Stortini (late Mary-Kay) and the late Helen Pilgrim (late Silvano).
He will be greatly missed by his brothers Michael (Lori), Anthony and Daniel.
Mark was the cousin of Gary Stortini (Susan), Dennis Stortini, Glen Stortini, the late Elaine Cleminson (Scott), Carla Buffone (Lou), Brenda Paciocco (Tony), John Paul Paciocco (Cathy), Matthew and Beth Pilgrim and the Rope sisters Laurie, Patty and Marnie.
Mark was the nephew of the late John Stortini (late Stella), the late Leonard Stortini (late Gloria), the late Mary Paciocco (late John), John Pilgrim (Carol) and the late Benita Rope (late Don).
He was the grandson of the late Luigi and late Assunta Stortini and the late Benjamin and late Elizabeth Pilgrim.
Mark’s nieces and nephews are Ben Stortini (Sharon), Christine Stortini (Mo), Ray A. Stortini, and Hannah and Liza Stortini. Mark was great uncle to Louna and Stelo Stortini.
Mark graduated from the Engineering program at Humber College and became well liked and respected for his contributions to the transportation infrastructure of the province of Ontario.
Mark’s love of life had few boundaries, whether on water, land or in the bush. His musical talent was constantly evolving, and he was an avid hockey fan (Go Leafs Go). He also loved traveling with family and friends and will be sorely missed on numerous international beaches.
Mark’s family and friends are saddened by his departure but will always cherish the wonderful memories of having him in our lives.
Cremation has taken place and plans for a springtime Internment and Celebration of Life will be appropriately announced.
Charitable donations to the Matthews Memorial Hospital Association in Richards Landing, Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
