Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Guelph General Hospital on Friday, April 27, 2018. Elsie Marie (McDougall) Swaffield in her 92nd year, was the dear wife of the late Norris Swaffield (2004). She was the loving mother of Barbara and her husband Tom Forestell of Puslinch, and Shirley Swaffield of Guelph. Elsie was the proud grandmother of Kevin (Erin Stephenson), David (Claire), Anne (Michael Collins), Tim (Jordan Collins), and great grandmother of Maggie, Hank, Kate, Jane, Amy and Harry. Predeceased by her brother William (Bill) McDougall (Mary) and by her parents, Adam (1980) and Connie (Benney) McDougall (1974).

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 10-11a.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the fellowship lounge. Private interment at Alliston Union Cemetery, Alliston
