John Tarchuk passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital Nursing Home on Saturday, December 15, 2001 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of 60 years of Helen. Dear father of david (Maxene), William, late Steven, and Mary Ann Bailey (Leonard). Dear grandfather of Teri Barnett (Brent), Jacqui Spagnol (Doug) both of Calgary and Steven Tarchuk, Michael and Keith Tarchuk, Brian Baily (Irene) of Oakville, Daniel Bailey of Mississauga, Laurel and Karen Bailey. Great grandfather of three. Son of the late Nick and Polly Tarchuk. Brother of Mary Nykiforuk (late Paul) of Toronto, Olive Anderson (Gordon) of Cache Creek, B.C., late Annie Czuy, Rose Hyntsyshyn, Mike and Bill Tarchuk. Uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church (293 St. George's Avenue, East) on Tuesday, Dec. 18 from 11:00 a.m. until time of the funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. Father Gerry Jaroslaw officiating.
