TEN BRINKE, Albert

It is with saddened hearts that we said “until we meet again” to Albert Ten Brinke on December 19, 2016 at the St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake, Ontario.  Loving partner of Katy Gauthier and mentor and friend to Michael Gauthier.  Son of Maria (Ria) and Jochem Ten Brinke (pre-deceased) of St. Catharines.  Much loved brother of Jack Ten Brinke (Ruth), Cathleen Miles (Nicholas) and Craig Ten Brinke (Karen).  Adoring uncle of Heidi, Kylie, Krista, Joel, Kariena and Kieran.  Albert worked for Beamish Construction for over 20 years and was well respected by his supervisors and coworkers.  Prior to construction work, Albert was an Instrument Mechanic at Rio Algom.  Al was raised in Elliot Lake and made it his home with Katy.  He knew every bush trail and lake and loved to fish.  The family would like to thank the nurses (especially Karen) who helped with Albert’s care.  Thank you also to Dr. Wannan and all the staff at St. Joseph’s General Hospital.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions in Albert’s name may be made to the St. Joseph’s General Hospital Equipment Fund.  The funeral service will be held from the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre, 36 Ontario Avenue on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor John Faulkner officiating.  Online condolences to the family may be made at www.elliotlakefuneralchapel.com.
