​Unexpectedly at home on Sunday January 31, 2016, Gerard Theriault in his 90th year. Loving husband of Evelyn for nearly 60 years. Lovingly remembered by his children: Denise (Sam) Colizza, Michel Theriault, Suzanne (Stanley) Jensen and Nicolle (Bruce) Schuurman. Poppa of Tanya (Marvin) Joncas, Jennifer (Yorgo) Maninos, Freddy (Melissa) Jensen, Sammy (Angela) Colizza, Julia Colizza (Beau), James (Amanda) Colizza, Stephanie (Mike) Gregorini, Stacey-Lynn Jensen (Mike) and Kendra and Nathan Schuurman. Great Poppa of Jesse Labbee, Emily Joncas, Lukas and Jakob Maninos and Zachary Colizza. Son of the late Chrysologue and Anna (nee Label)Theriault. Brother of Fernand (Fernande) Theriault and predeceased by his 10 other siblings. Cherished brother-in-law of Marie (late Jerry) Booth, Marlene (late Jules) Bourke, Jim Payette and Jack (Diane) Payette. Jerry will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and Friends may call at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (corner of Cathcart and St. James St) on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 6:00pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass to be held on Wednesday February 3, 2016 , 11:00am at Precious Blood Cathedral with Father Brendan Doherty officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, Fire and Paramedics, Dr. Fam, Dr. Yee, Father Hamish Currie and Father Alex Saurianthadathil for the care given to Jerry. Memorial donations in Jerry’s memory may be made to the F. J. Davey Home or to Precious Blood Cathedral (The Journey) and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
