With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Betty Thomas at the age of 98, at the Sault Area Hospital on July 9, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Sam Thomas, dearly loved mother of Gord (wife Shirley) and Heather Murray (husband late Colin). Much loved grandmother and great grandmother of Bob Lahde (wife Kim) and their children Megan, Allie and Mason; Tricia Lahde (husband Eric Puleo) and their daughter Adele (of Toronto); Scott Thomas (wife Naima) and their children Charlie and Fletcher (of Whitby); and Mark Thomas (wife Amy) and their children Ayla, Neve and Mara (of Whitby). Dear sister of the late Vera Graham (late Ted) and the late Ray McKenna (late Joyce). Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Proud member of R.C. Legion Branch 25 Ladies Auxiliary for 69 years. As per Mom’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private Celebration of Mom’s Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto would be appreciated.
