TOIVONEN, Allan Robert Johannes

Allan Robert Johannes peacefully passed away surrounded by songs, love and family late Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the age of 62 at ARCH.  He was a beloved husband and soul mate to Sarah (Sally). A proud father, he inspired his children Anja and Johannes to make brave choices and follow their dreams. He loved animals, especially his dog Sanchez, who is waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge.  He will be missed by his brothers Peter (Alison), Edward (Stella), Dave (Joann), Rick (Riekie) and Bill (Sheila). Survived by his mother Anja (Mumma) and pre-deceased by his father Niilo.  He cherished his aunts, Ruth Juhola, Bettie Brown, Ellen Hull and loved teasing his Nephew, Stephan. He will be missed by many other uncles, nieces and nephews.  Allan was always known for his sense of humour, positive attitude, passion for singing and his love of ice cream. He could always be found on Monday evenings proudly singing beside his friend Dave Parker and other treasured members of the Northland Barbershop Chorus.  We would like to thank the many devoted staff at ARCH and the Sault Area Hospital for their compassion.  Contributions to ARCH Hospice would be gratefully appreciated. Friends and family are invited to visit at Emmanuel United Church (corner of Bennett Blvd and Boundary Road) on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be at Emmanuel United Church on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
