On Thursday, April 10, 2025, God called for his daughter Elizabeth Vanscoy to come home and to be reunited with her beloved husband and best friend of 48 years the late John Thomas Vanscoy.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents, late Emma Dawson and late Archibald Dawson. Her late brother Tom Dawson and sister-in-law Beatrice Dawson. She will be missed and always remembered by her children Tommy Vanscoy (Tina) and Aimee Vanscoy (Chris). She will be missed by her grandchildren late baby Elizabeth, Emily, Brittney, Lucas, Mackenzy, Jadin and Rick. Her great grandchildren Elizabeth, Thomas, Hayden and Aiden. Dear sister-in-law to Darren Vanscoy (Sharilyn Hodgkinson), Ron Van Scoy and Richard Vanscoy (Margaret). Elizabeth will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and everyone in her bingo family will miss her dearly.
She was a wonderful loving lady that had a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone out as much as she could. The things she loved and enjoyed most were her family and bingo.
The family would like to thank Algoma Residential Community Hospice for all the wonderful care and support they had given Elizabeth and the kindness they gave the family.
Family and friends are welcome to the family home (50 Amherst St, SSM) on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm for a Come and Go Celebration. Friends are also welcome to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522) on Sunday April 20, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm for a Come and Go Visitation.
