von Roenn, Rosaline Pauline “Rose” - passed peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the age of 90.
She was predeceased by her son Michael, husband Werner, parents Albert and Rita Patrie, brother Wilfred Patrie, sisters Alma Kuchma (Roman) and Sr. Lillian Patrie. She will be greatly missed by her sons David (Nancy), Robert, and by her precious grandchildren Eric, Sara, and Abby. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Velma Patrie, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rose was born in Massey, Ontario in 1934 and attended North Bay Teachers College in 1955, after which she embarked on a 40-year teaching career. Mom retired in 1992 and enjoyed a 33-year retirement with Dad, traveling the world, camping in Thessalon, bowling, walking, reading, quilting, and knitting. Mom and dad are now reunited and dancing once again.
Family and friends are invited to Our Lady of Good Counsel (114 MacDonald Avenue) for a Memorial Mass on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11 am. Rev. Michael Omojola officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
