Amy Eleanor ffrench (Best) Wadley was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 12, 1928.
Moments after admiring an arrangement of spring flowers from her garden, she died peacefully at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in Brantford, Ontario on May 2, 2025. Amy led an active and fulfilling life with devotion to her family and a genuine concern for the well-being of others. While living in Sault Ste. Marie from 1954 to 1975, she was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Anglican Cathedral. Amy was predeceased by parents Christopher and Evelyn (Barrow) Best; brothers Hugh and Derek; and devoted husband Bill. She will be missed by children Jane, Chris (Marrianne), David (Sharon) and Allan (Carolyn); grandchildren David (Tiffany), Rebecca, Dan, Tim and Daniel; great-grandchildren Violet and Theo; cousin Lesley; and nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
