Stuart Victor Waite passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Sault Area Hospital in his 75th year with his wife and daughter by his side.
Stuart's resilience was most apparent in the face of illness. Known as the strongest man by those who loved him, he fought fiercely right to the end, never losing his determination to live. His legacy is one of strength and perseverance, inspiring everyone who knew him.
Music was one of Stuart's greatest joys. His creative spirit shone brightly as he sang and played guitar with many talented fellow musicians, bringing joy to all as they entertained in many venues. His melodies could transform an ordinary evening into a memorable occasion, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of listening.
He leaves behind a loving family, including the love of his life, Rachelle. Proud dad to his adored daughter, Holly. Son of the late Winifred and Victor Waite. Dear brother of Carol Holmberg (Louis), the late Tony Waite, and Gillian Breen (Stephen). Beloved son-in-law of Margo and Ray Mousseau and brother-in-law of Mike Mousseau (Carole), Kent Mousseau (Anne), and Tammy Anich (Dave) who will remember him for his warmth and indomitable spirit. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Stuart's life was further enriched by the companionship of his fur buddies Mister and Pierre, who provided comfort and joy in his life.
Stuart's absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all that knew him, but his influence will continue to live on. He had a profound impact on the people around him, leaving a mark that will not fade. A man of courage, creativity, and passion. His memory will be treasured, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Stuart's life will be celebrated in a manner that honors the fullness of his character and the depth of his influence. As the curtains close on his earthly performance, the echoes of his guitar and voice will be forever heard in the hearts of many. Stuart’s song may have ended, but his melody lingers on.

At this time cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations made to the SAHF Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by family.
