(August 8, 1953 – April 19, 2018) - Wendy lived by the motto “Live well, laugh often, love much” and despite a devastating cancer diagnosis last year, she did just that. Her final days were spent in the exceptional care of the Algoma Residential Care Hospice (ARCH), surrounded by family and friends. Wendy’s extraordinary spirit will guide the way for all who knew and loved her, in particular her children Melany (Brad) and Christopher, as well the light of her life, her grandson Charlie. Wife of the late Chuck, Wendy was also a beloved sister of the late Sheilah Gallion, Gary (late Judy) and Art. A special aunt to many nieces and nephews, she was also a treasured friend to many. A dedicated educational assistant, Wendy made an indelible impression on many youngsters; she will hold a special place in the hearts of Kyla and Carter. Wendy and her family are grateful for the compassionate care provided by ARCH staff and volunteers, as well as the Sault Paramedics. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. For all who wish, donations in Wendy’s memory may be made to ARCH. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd., 705-945-7758).
