WILSON, Sally

It is with great sadness that the family of Sally Wilson announces her passing on Sunday, June 12, 2016 after a courageous, valiant, but quiet fight with cancer. Loved wife of Lee. Cherished “Ma”, confidant, and best friend of Tracey (Ron) Talvitie, Tanya (Travis) Halcrow, and Darren (Special Mom #2 to Shawna) Wilson. Best-loved Sister to Joan (Bill) Boychuk. Adored daughter of the late Bob and the late Dorothy Gibson. Amazing, dedicated and loving Gramma to Tori, Matthew and Nico Talvitie, Thomas (Buddy) and Lauren (Peanut) Halcrow,  Connor (Scooter) and Taylor ( Dolly) Wilson. Special “Aunt” to Curtis and Ashley Boychuk and families. Sister-in-law to Delmar Wilson (late Ann).  “Mrs. Wilson” was a truly loved and respected caregiver, colleague, and friend to students and staff of Grandview Public School for almost 25 years. Her selfless nature was infectious leaving a lasting impression with everyone she encountered. At Sally’s request, a private family service was held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Memorial contributions to Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH), or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Thanks to Dr. Booth, Dr. Spadafora, and Sara for their care and compassion during this journey. Thanks also to the incredible staff and volunteers at ARCH and the staff at CCAC.
