Unexpectedly at home on March 15, 2025, at the age of 56.

Predeceased by her adoring husband Michael Zalewski. Mother of Mandy Fluke (Partrick). Grandmother of Patrick, Jamie and Reilly.

Predeceased by her parents John and Judy Quinn. Sister of Kathy Marshall (Jerry), Maralyn Pandzic (Late Jerry), Dennis Quinn and Susan Dias (Vasco).

Sister-in-law to Christpoher Zalewski (Cynthia), Marty Zalweski (Sonia), Andrea Soltys (Bob) and Carolyn Zalewski (Barry Baxter). Aunt to Corey Marques, Ryan Dias (Hannah), Brittany Quinn (Ty), Kyle Pandzic, Michael Pandzic (Mandy), Daniel Pandzic, John Marshall (Andrea), Sarah Marshall (Denis Mahoney), Adam Zalewski (Laura), Alex Zalewski (Melody), Taylor Zalewski (Brooke), Paul Zalewski and Danielle Zalewski. She was a great aunt to Kara, Briar, Maddison, Mackenzie, Kayden, Sawyer, Ellie, Weston, Cole, Grayson, Rowan, Ryder, Sloane and Beau. Lorraine will be remembered and missed by many friends including Samira, Tracy, Kara and Dan.

Lorraine was a dynamic woman in many ways, but the one thing that remained true was her love for her late husband, Michael. He was truly the love of her life. Lorraine had many gifts. While she could knit, cross stitch, or crochet anything imaginable, her daughter will miss her for her perspectives, insights and sense of humor. Family was so important to Lorraine. She came from a big family full of so much love. While you could always find her chatting with one of her sisters during the chaos of big family events, she could also appreciate the peace and tranquility found in simply reading a book, baking or watching movies.

Lorraine also loved the outdoors and was known to let her hair down while camping during the beautiful summers we have here in the Soo. You would often find her at her happiest sitting around a bonfire singing her heart out to Fleetwood Mac, the Everley Brother or Cat Stevens. Her heart was so full of love, and she had so much to share. Anyone who knew Lorraine knew she loved being surrounded by kids. In her life, she had the chance to make a difference to many young lives through fostering. Each child held a special place in her heart, especially Caroline and Romy.

Cremation has taken place, and a private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

The family would like to thank everyone, including the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services and the Sault Ste. Marie Paramedics. We would also like to extend our utmost gratitude to her amazing building manager, Nancy, who has been wonderful throughout our grief.

In lieu of flowers, do something that makes you happy for no other reason than that.
