An Aweres Township resident has been charged after police responded to a dispute regarding the sale of a trailer on Tuesday evening.
During the argument, a man allegedly threatened the victim with a weapon, says a press release issued by Sault Ste. Marie OPP.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.

Dispute over ownership of a trailer results in one person being charged.
On May 30, 2023 shortly after 8 p.m., members from the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a threats complaint in Aweres Township.
Investigation determined two individuals had an argument over the phone related to the sale and ownership of a trailer. The argument ensued to where one of the individuals [is alleged to have] threatened to harm the other person with a weapon.
As a result, David Hache, 37 years of age from Aweres Township, was charged with:
• Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste Marie on June 26, 2023.
