Blind River resident accused of driving impaired while suspended

A Blind River resident has been accused of driving impaired with a suspended licence.

Ontario Provincial Police received a complaint about a possible impaired driver on West Street at around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers pulled over a brown pickup truck, and after a conversation, they arrested the driver.

Larissa Kim Reneigh Koke, 49, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving while under suspension

In addition, the pickup truck was impounded.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
