An Elliot Lake resident is being accused of breaching their release conditions.
“In April 2024, the person was caught on video surveillance on MacFarlane Road breaching a prior release condition after being charged,” Ontario Provincial Police allege in a news release.
“A warrant was then issued for his arrest.”
OPP say they spotted the person walking on Hillside Drive South and took them into custody at around 9 p.m. Saturday night.
Dustin LaFleur, 33, was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order - other than to attend court.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
