BEAR-TRUCK COLLISION Laird Township Yesterday, at 11:00 p.m., the Sault detachment of the O.P.P. investigated a collision on Highway 17 in Laird Township involving a tractor-trailer and a large black bear.

Yesterday, at 11:00 p.m., the Sault detachment of the O.P.P. investigated a collision on Highway 17 in Laird Township involving a tractor-trailer and a large black bear. The impact of the collision killed the bear however the truck was disabled with damage to the front end including a flat tire and damaged bumper.


5 MOOSE COLLISIONS

Also yesterday, the Wawa detachment investigated 5 vehicle collisions involving moose in their area. Motorists should take extra caution as black flies and other insects drive the moose and other animals onto the roadways.
