Arrest For Assault

One woman was arrested early this morning after an early morning assault at an Echo Bay home.

Officers were called to a home in Echo Bay at about 2:00 a.m. this morning after a second woman complained about being assaulted. Officers found that a beer bottle was thrown at the victim leaving a noticeable mark on her arm.

Thirty eight year old Carol Agawa, of Garden River, was arrested and charged with Assault With a Weapon. She was released from custody and will appear in court on 24 April 2006.

The victim of the assault did not require medical treatment.
