A Sudbury man is facing several charges after being pulled over by Ontario Provincial Police on Highway 17 in Baldwin Township.
OPP received several complaints about an eastbound vehicle driving erratically just after 11 p.m. last Tuesday, May 7.
Officers say the driver showed signs of impairment and was taken to an OPP detachment for further testing.
“A search of the vehicle was conducted, and police located multiple knives, pepper spray, ammunition, suspected cocaine, and suspected methamphetamine,” the OPP said in a news release.
Marc Gascon, 24, has been charged with:
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition - two counts
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - two counts
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Dangerous operation
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
