OPP officers attend home in the Sault

The investigation is ongoing

Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police's Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Rossmore Road in Sault Ste. Marie this morning.

The officers attended the home in unmarked vehicles at 7:18 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing, with the assistance of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Technological Crime Unit, said Const. Ashley Nickle in a news release.

The Sault Ste. Marie OPP Crime Unit was also assisted in the warrant execution by the Sault Ste. Marie OPP Emergency Response Team.

No one was arrested, although Nickle said arrests could follow.

Nickle said the Rossmore Road search warrant is connected to an ongoing investigation in Echo Bay.

It did not appear to be a tense situation.
