What police described as ongoing issues led to threats with a baseball bat at an apartment in Goulais River this week.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Monday evening, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a threat at a Robertson Road apartment building.
Police say further investigation revealed that the accused and the complainant both reside in the building.
On July 27, the complainant was allegedly threatened by the accused with a baseball bat and video footage of the incident was given to police.
Jason Hampleman, 31, is charged with uttering threats - causing death or bodily harm.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in September.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Hampleman is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
