On March 23, an OPP officer spotted a vehicle registered to a suspended driver on Great Northern Road.
The officer observed the vehicle making multiple lane changes and accelerating quickly from an intersection before initiating a traffic stop, according to a news release.
Police say the 24-year-old driver was impaired by drug.
The accused was arrested and charged with operation while impaired, alcohol and drugs, driving with cannabis readily available and failing to surrender a license.
He received a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Josh Payeur is scheduled to appear in court on April 14.
None of the accusations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
